DateX Privacy Policy
Short version: DateX uses the chat or profile context you choose to provide to generate dating-message guidance. We do not sell your personal information or use your private chat content for third-party advertising.
Information you choose to provide
- Chat text, drafts, profile details, screenshots, and generated messages used for Reply, Opener, Rewrite, and related coaching features.
- Match names, notes, conversation history, relationship progress, saved lines, and outcome feedback you choose to save.
- Support messages and any information you include when contacting us.
Information collected automatically
- A DateX client identifier, app version, feature interactions, generation timing, error diagnostics, quota use, and coarse network information needed to operate and protect the service.
- Subscription product, entitlement, renewal, and purchase-event status from Apple and RevenueCat. DateX does not receive your full payment-card number.
How we use information
We use information to provide AI-generated replies and coaching, remember saved matches and preferences, maintain quotas and Pro access, improve reliability and model quality, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and understand whether DateX helps users complete useful actions.
AI processing and service providers
Content submitted for an AI feature is sent to our service and processed by Google, a third-party AI provider, to return the requested result. Cloudflare provides app infrastructure and protected data storage. Apple and RevenueCat process purchases and subscription status. PostHog may process limited app interaction and reliability data. These providers may process limited information only to provide their services to DateX under their own terms and privacy commitments.
To improve the product experience, DateX may use limited product interaction and diagnostic data. DateX does not use this analytics data for cross-app tracking or advertising.
Keyboard privacy
DateX Keyboard requires Full Access for online AI generation. It does not automatically read unrelated clipboard content. Text is sent to DateX only when you choose an AI action such as Reply, Opener, Rewrite, or Translate. Apple controls the system Full Access permission, which you can turn off at any time in iOS Settings.
Retention
DateX does not store original screenshots, photos, avatars, or share posters in its Pro cloud snapshot. Restore Pro & Data may store Match names, notes, conversation text and progress, saved replies, custom Lines, Cheat Code edits, selected settings, and eligible text results so they can be restored on another device. Raw conversation text, text extracted from screenshots, generated raw text, and model output retained for service review are scheduled for deletion or removal of raw content after 30 days. Product interaction events are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. If a Pro subscription ends, saved DateX content is retained for up to 30 days and then deleted unless Pro is renewed. Apple and RevenueCat purchase records, plus a one-way hashed purchase link used only to offer purchase restoration and prevent account mix-ups, may remain after DateX content deletion for legal, dispute, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Your choices
- Do not upload or paste content you do not want processed.
- Withdraw future AI processing consent at any time in DateX under Settings > Privacy & Legal by choosing Withdraw Consent. Withdrawing stops future AI generation until you accept the current terms again.
- Remove matches and saved content in DateX where available.
- Disable DateX Keyboard or Full Access in iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.
- Delete cloud and local DateX content in Settings > Privacy & Legal by choosing Delete DateX Account & Data, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing feilong.apps@outlook.com. This does not cancel an Apple subscription. After deletion, Restore Pro & Data can restore the verified purchase, but deleted DateX content is not returned.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated app requests and restricted operations access. No system is completely secure. Depending on your location, information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate.
Age requirement
DateX is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as DateX changes. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice.
